The Scranton Counseling Center is experienced in running clinical trials across a broad range of CNS indications to Include: All sleep disorders and numerous psychiatric indications from adolescent to geriatric including Depression, Bi-Polar, OCD, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Addiction and Panic Disorders.

A.C. Patel, M.D.
Board Certified in Psychiatry & Neurology
Board Certified in Adolescent and Geriatric Psychiatry
Board Certified in Addiction Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine

Dr. Patel has over 20 years of clinical experience in both private practice and institutional settings. Having joined Global Medical Institutes in 1998 Dr. Patel specializes in psychiatric and sleep studies. He is a consulting psychiatrist at the Sleep Disorder Center of the Community Medical Center Hospital and the Friendship House Children’s Center. In addition he is the Medical Director for both the Scranton Counseling Center and the Community Behavior Healthcare Network of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

At Scranton Counseling Center we have examination rooms, investigational drug storage, laboratory space, required medical equipment, a CRF storage area, and sufficient office space with monitor room available for clinical trials operations. In addition SCC can provide the below tests and procedures either on site or within a 1 mile radius of the clinic.

Sleep Lab of Northeastern Pennsylvania functions as a diagnostic resource to evaluate patients with sleep disorder and to understand treatment and follow-up. The center is a free standing five-bed sleep disorders center located in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.

To ensure the greatest comfort for patients each bedroom is spacious and tastefully appointed and contains a full size bed and television with DVD player. Complete bathroom facilities are available. The Sleep Lab is Handicapped Accessible
